Wafels, More Free Food On Twitter Tracker: In yet another way you can not pay for lunch today, there's free food from Sweetery and Korilla BBQ at Mulberry & Spring as part of CNET's pop-up in Soho. Elsewhere on the ML Downtown Twitter Tracker, Wafels & Dinges has a cart on Greenwich, GO Burger is at Water & Hanover Maiden Lane, and Rickshaw and Kimchi Taco are on Hudson. Mexucue and Souvlaki GR are at Old Slip.

Cafe Tomato Gets Less Generic, Adds Korean Food

Generic-looking deli Cafe Tomato on Fulton St. (nr. Broadway) still looks pretty generic, but they now have Korean food! I have never eaten here after an initial walk-through yielded nothing special, but this changes the game, especially since it’s a lot closer for those of us in the upper part of the Financial District than Cafe Hanover.

Free Grilled Cheese, Burgers From MasterCard: This is the third week of the MasterCard Priceless NY promotion and today there are a couple of options. Milk Truck (grilled cheese) and Frites N Meats are at Broad btw. Water & South. You have to have a MasterCard and re-tweet or do a Facebook "like," but in return you get a free lunch!

Eddie’s Pizza Cart Packing It In For The Winter: The Eddie's Pizza cart that's been on Greenwich & Duane for several months will only be there through Friday Thursday and then will take a hiatus until spring. Fans of their bar pies need not fear though as they will still be stopping downtown with their truck.

Did they have “the best street food downtown” as Ziaul said? That was up to my stomach to find out.

Free Sweetery, Korilla In Soho For Rest Of Week: The ML Downtown Twitter Tracker is heavy on Soho stops today as Frites N Meats is on Hudson along with Big D's Grub, and Wafels & Dinges is on Varick because of a FiDi film shoot. A promo with a CNET pop-up shop means free lunch for the rest of the week from Korilla BBQ, today at Prince & Lafayette, and Sweetery at Mulberry & Spring. La Cense is on Wall, and Calexico has homemade chorizo on Prince, and Bongo Brothers is at Front & Old Slip.

Hot Soup Cart Makes Annual Cold Weather Return

Just like UGG boots and being thankful for the gross heat from the subway trains, winter means the return of the Hot Soup cart to Wall St. I spotted it yesterday between William and Pearl streets which is about where it’s normally parked. It looks like the prices are up from last year to $5 for a medium and $6 for a large which is close to approaching Hale & Hearty territory.
