Is 46th & Vandy the New Hotness?: On the ML Twitter Tracker today... Crisp on Wheels is hoping to be on 49th & 6th, Red Hook Lobster is on 47th and Lex, Wafels & Dinges is on 52nd btw. Lex+3rd, Sweetery is on 46th & 6th, and Korilla is parked on 46th & Vanderbilt- where Bian Dang parked yesterday.  Let's hope this doesn't ruin the spot for Jiannetto's, who has been parking near there for years.

Free Thai Iced Tea Alert: Now through the end of July anybody who buys a bundle- that's one main and one side- from Dee Daa Balanced Thai (on 44th btw Lex+3rd) will receive a free iced tea of their choice. Choices include Rosella, Lemongrass, Bael Fruit and traditional Thai Iced Tea.

Mad+5th, Bian Dang is on Vanderbilt btw. 46+47th, Eddie's Pizza is on 39th & 9th and Uncle Gussy's is on 51st and Park and it sounds like they have baklava.

Midtown Super Flops: On Friday Eater compiled a list of 10 recent restaurant super flops, and 3 were right here in Midtown: Hello Pasta, Sensebowl, and K! Pizzacone- which obviously would have been number one if its quick demise hadn't been so predictable. Honorable mention goes to Kolache Mama, which was mentioned in the comments.

Zengo Moves Y Tacos Upstairs: Word came out late yesterday that Zengo (on 3rd Ave. and 40th) has moved Y Tacos from the basement La Biblioteca, upstairs to the rooftop public space. The menu appears to be the same as when Clay visited when November.. The stand should be open 11:30 to 3 Monday through Friday, but keep in mind that it's only when the weather permits.

Free Ice Cream Alert: via @leeannewong: "43rd between 3rd and Lex. @CookingChannel truck with @VLAIC ice cream: palm sugar, Earl grey, vanilla, chocolate, and strawberry! 3:15-4:30."  Freeloaders, prepare to engage.  UPDATE: We're now hearing it might be 41st street btw. 3rd+Lex.  You might want to confirm on twitter before heading out.

City Offering a “Taste of the Parks” Today: Despite the latest crackdown it's not all City vs. Street Vendors these days... the parks department has awarded a bunch of public spots around the city to various carts and trucks, and to celebrate they're having an event today from 11am to 2pm on 64th and 5th in Central Park. There will be 17 different vendors selling food, plus giving out some free samples (including The Country Boys from the Red Hook Ballfields, The Dosa Cart, Kelvin Slush, Sigmund Pretzels, Eddie's Pizza Cart, Wafels & Dinges and more.)

Free Iced Coffee Alert: Today is the first day of summer (who knew!?) and to celebrate Au Bon Pain will be giving away free medium iced coffees today from 2-6pm. You can see a complete list of locations here. And thanks to Lunch'er "T.C." for the tip.
