Two Midtown East Reopenings To Report

Good news for deli sandwich/Indian food enthusiasts of the eastern edge of ML territory! Hot Clay Oven (3rd btw. 44th+45th) has reopened after a slight revamp and addition to the menu (more on that ahead), and Sarge’s (3rd btw. 36th+37th) is back up and running  after a fire put them out of commission for more than a year.

A cursory glance through the window of the reopened Hot Clay Oven showed the addition of naan pizza, although their online menu has not been updated, so I can’t confirm any other details. Look for a review in the near future.

In the meantime, go get yourself a giant, meaty sandwich at Sarge’s.

Hot Clay Oven, 708 3rd Ave. (btw 44th+45th), (212) 599-7650

Sarge’s, 548 3rd Ave. (btw. 36th+37th), (212) 679-0442

Kimchi 16 W 48th St Between 5th and 6th avenue, has a soft opening today. They have alot of Korean dishes. I got the beef kimchi fried rice for 7.95. They have set lunches for $10. The first floor is like a food court with sections for different types of foods and tables. Downstairs is the dining area. The front area has a juice bar and pastry section.
