The Cinnamon Snail Returns; Will Be in Midtown Today

The Cinnamon Snail has been on hiatus for several months while they built out their new prep kitchen. They passed their inspection with flying colors and today they’re hitting the road with some new menu items.

For gluten free lunchers there’s a new almond milk French toast with raspberry grapefruit coulis, cardamom butter, and smokey roasted almonds.

The Bourbon Hazlenut Pancakes (above), are making a return and there are some new savory options as well, a rosemary fennel French lentil burger with white truffle aioli, pickled radishes, arugula, kalamata olive tapenade, and fried artichokes on grilled herb focaccia and a French Mustard Grilled Tempeh Salad with sage and dulse walnuts, arugula, pickled radishes, pickled red onions, and roasted lemon Dijon dressing. I think I’m most excited about the a smoked portabello carpaccio with red onion fig mustarda, arugula, and roasted lemon Dijon dressing on a toasted baguette, which sounds like tweak on their old portabello sandwich which was always one of my go-to lunches from their truck and very good gateway vegan food, if tempeh or tofu aren’t your style.

Their plan is to park on 48th & 6th, but as always, follow them @VeganLunchTruck to make sure they haven’t been forced to move. According to their schedule on Facebook, they also plan to be in midtown in their regular spots on Wednesday (55th & Broadway) and on Friday (47th & Park).
