Vendy’s fans rejoice, 2008 Vendy’s finalist Fauzia’s Heavenly Delights will be making an appearance in midtown today, April 20th (and tomorrow, April 21st) for the Earth Day Fair at Grand Central Terminal. Fauzia has been vending from a spot outside the Bronx District Attorney’s office since 1994. Having tried her food at the Vendy’s, I can tell you that this one-time midtown appearance is worth getting excited about. Check out this sneak peak of the menu from Fauzia herself.

Known for her eclectic cuisine–think jerk chicken, spicy black bean soup with coconut, codfish cakes and sorrel–Fauzia promises to bring the whole spread and told me some of the food on the menu will include: jerk chicken, curry chicken, grilled chicken, grilled fish, BBQ tofu, vegetarian jerk chicken, vegetarian teriyaki chicken, rice & beans, mixed veggies, collard greens, potato, spinach & carrot, a very green salad, Hot Roti, carrot cake, red velvet cake, sorrel drinks and much more. Medium plates will be $8.50, large plates $10.50, cakes are $4.00, roti $10.00 and Fauzia’s famous sorrel is $3.50. All plates comes with one main and two sides.

The Earth Day Festival will be held April 20&21 at Vanderbilt and 42nd St. Hours are 12pm-7pm today and 11am-4pm on Saturday.
