L.A. Better Not Get Xi’an Famous Before Midtown

Eight months after Xi’an Famous Foods ran a survey looking for suggestions for new locations, they’re now hinting at opening a branch in Los Angeles! Seriously?! I’m glad that X’ian Famous Foods are doing so well, but isn’t the business trying to spread themselves too thin so quickly? It was first lauded for its no-frill eating experience (a tiny stall in the basement of the then unknown Flushing mall, until Bourdain came along), but it’s I find it very corporate-liked. Like a mass produced operation.
