It’s Tri Tip Tuesday
A friendly reminder from the ML Twitter Tracker… today you can get a feast for 3 at the Tri Tip Grill (in the Rock Center Concourse) for just $20. Also of note… Rickshaw has two trucks in Midtown today, Street Sweets and Schnitzel are both on 46th, Frites N Meats is on 52nd, and Quick Stop Kosher is in front of B&H also celebrating National Waffle Day.

Tried the Whole tip today. Split it with a friend. Notes:
– I said medium-rare…it was definitely medium-well. Luckily, the meat was fairly tender throughout. Some tendons get in the way but that has more to do with the quality of the meat than the way it was cooked.
– Little on the salty side, like most people mentioned, especially near the edges where the seasoning is heavy. I would’ve liked it more if they toned it down a bit so I could actually enjoy using the dip.
– Portion is pretty astounding for the price point, considering the fact Tri Tip operates in 30 Rock. I *might* be able to finish the entire tip, but half of it is good for lunch.
– Mashed potato was forgettable. Not powdery, which is good, but lacking in taste (perhaps in comparison to the meat itself).
