Manhole Explosion Shutters New Guy & Gallard
A manhole exploded on 40th btw. 7+8th this afternoon, and while most are concerned about the safety of fellow human beings one New York Times writer is admittedly more concerned about lunch. Apparently he was excited for the opening of a new Guy & Gallard, which has been temporarily closed by the explosion.

I used to work a few blocks from there and was in my office one evening when there was a manhole explosion. It really sounded like bombs were going off. Scary stuff. Hope no one was hurt.
that area is a ticking time bomb.
I’d be scared $hitless to work/live in that area right now!
