Tim Zagat Likes Rickshaw Dumplings
Our own Amy Cao interviewed Tim Zagat for the VendrTV blog, and got him to talk about street foods place in the perennial restaurant guides that bear his name. The big reveal? He’s particularly fond of the Rickshaw Dumpling truck, which has been parking outside of the Zagat offices.

While the dumplings are “overpriced” and “not very authentic”, the truck gets rave reviews for being “convenient to the office”…

You know what else is convenient to my office? Pret A Manger, Subway, Cafe Metro and McDonalds. Zagat should be put to the pastures already.

I’d be happier eating at McDonald’s. Def. money well-spent when comparing it to overpriced and unfilling lunch option of Rickshaw.

oh man… i guess if you pick the only dumpling truck as your favorite street food, it’s hard to say there’s a better dumpling truck… but geez, go to chinatown Tim.

Zagat’s love of Rickshaw is poetic. The Zagat guide jumped the shark years ago. Their info was never reliable and, as pointed out above, the best up-to-date info on restaurants is found online.

No doubt spends a lot of time at the truck to get away from that harpy of a wife… he’s saying nice things because he may need to truck to get him to JFK to escape her clutches once & for all
Tim must be sleeping with either one of the zagats…or both.
