Ramen Totto Taking Over Bombay Eats Space?!
Huge news just reported by Eater… the owners of Yakitori Totto (on 55th btw. B’way+8th) will be opening a ramen spot at an undisclosed location in Midtown in April. Amazing. Wait a second… isn’t the recently shuttered Bombay Eats (on 52nd btw. 8+9th) supposedly turning into a ramen shop. If this is true, losing Indian pizza should hurt far far less…

Haha… you *loved* Bombay Eats. I would agree with you if it was some random ramen place… but Yakitori Totto (and it’s other spots in Midtown) are the shit! If they do ramen as good as they do yakitori, it’s going to be amazing.

I never had Bombay Eats but certainly do like ramen!!
More options couldn’t hurt – as long as they are ‘good’ options. -
@MattZ – Most definitely. Not guaranteed, but the potential is 100% there. The only fear is that it will be more expensive…

Men Kui Tei and Menchanko Tei are so overhyped it’s unbelievable. Menchanko Tei is alright but Santoka Ramen in Edgewater NJ is so much better. It’s even better than Ippudo, in my opinion. I really hope this place has great ramen and not so darn expensive either.

I’m really excited about it. The Ramen Totto ramen is supposedly organic and will be testing out chicken-based soup stock — to be expected from the Totto chain and especially delightful for someone with pork allergies like myself!
