At Lunch Now: Kyochon to Open at 6PM Tonight
You might have read on Friday that the new Kyochon (on 5th Ave. btw. 32+33rd) would be opening today… but not for lunch! This was the scene around Noon, as they scramble to get the place ready for their grand opening which apparently will be happening tonight at 6pm. Anybody free for pandemonium Korean fried chicken lunch tomorrow?

Just went by a few minutes ago. Windows still covered with paper. The front door was open so I stepped inside and there was scaffolding blocking the entrance. A nice woman who looked like a manager said they hoped to open this evening at some point. To me, it doesn’t look like 6:00 is viable. She did say the kitchen was operational and there seemed to be enough employees hanging around. I would bet an opening around 7:30-8:00 is closer to the truth. Also, a thought occurred to me: How long has that chicken been sitting around waiting for opening day?
