How Long Will the Twittering Truck Trend Last?

My friend Norman forwarded along this MediaPost article that looks at the “perfect storm” of factors that has lead to the current explosion of trucks who twitter, and envisions a future where trucks will “tweet the wrong locations intentionally [to] weed out the fans from the superfans.”

    NY isn’t like LA in that there is no adventure in “searching out the trucks.” Sending the customers who want to eat your food to the wrong location will really only result in pissing a lot of NY’rs off. Maybe that kind of thing can go on in LA where everyone is a lot more lax, but in the Big Apple that will only leave you alone with your truck and a lot of wasted food.

    If a truck gave me a bogus address I would never go there again.
