Osteria del Circo’s Gelato Cart Opens for the Summer
Peter Cherches is reporting that Osteria del Circo’s gelato cart is back (on 55th btw. 6+7th.) According to him the restaurant is no good, but they have “the best gelato I’ve had outside of Italy or Switzerland.” That’s good to know.

Just for the record, I’ve never eaten at the restaurant, but I wrote, “Osteria del Circo is run by the same family that brought you Le Cirque. It’s a pricey Italian restaurant, and from what I can tell not especially esteemed by those in the know,” based on reports on Chowhound and elsewhere.
