Lunch at Norma’s is 50% Off This Week
Anytime the Burger Joint comes up in conversation, usually somebody mentions its neighbor Norma’s– the breakfast/lunch restaurant also in the Parker Meridien Hotel (on 56th or 57th btw. 6+7th). With almost everything on the menu topping $20, even half off won’t get you into Midtown Lunch price range… but if you’ve always wanted to try this place (and I’ve heard it’s pretty awesome), this would be the week. Lunch at Norma’s is 50% off through this Friday, April 24th. [Serious Eats: New York]

i plan to go today. is drink included? I’m budgeting $20 per person after the discount. Any recommendation? how are the savory dishes?

@kim: yes, i went yesterday, and 50% was taken off the whole bill. 1 lobster mac & cheese ($28), 1 arepa (with 3 sunny-side up eggs and chorizo) ($22), and two smoothies ($9 each) with $15 tip came to $51.85. both were good, but not value at original price. i had the chocolate french toast on a previous visit, and that was tasty.
Sadly, it’s not that awesome at all. You’d be much better off having a nice breakfast at Clinton St. Baking Co. But I guess that isn’t in midtown :).
