Kashmir Buffet Back Open; Church’s Food Court, Not So Much

The Kashmir Buffet and by the pound steam table on 8th Ave. btw. 39+40th has reopened, after being closed by the DOH last month.  (Unfortunately it didn’t come quickly enough for Eat Me Daily, who called them out for not being “Open 24 hrs.” as it claims on their sign.)  In other news, the food court with Church’s located a few blocks north (on 8th Ave. btw. 44+45th) has still not reopened.  I’m starting to think this one may be gone for good…

I have to tell you my uncle is very good friends(for reals they live practically a block from my family and 4 blocks from my uncles) with the owner…and while it was shut down…they actually catered an event for our family. I of course didn’t make the connection. :(

But thanks to you Zach…I am going to have a family email with your awesome reporting about it being shut down by the DOH.

    Zachy rules!

Before you go ratting these guys out to your family, review the report on the DOH website of their violations

Then look at some of your favorite restaurants, or don’t if you actually want to keep eating there.

Yeah, they took all the signs down and everything from the Church’s food court. At least I got to try it once, so good…

There were 5 or 6 places inside of that mini mall. The Indian food wasn’t bad. I applaud anyone still adding naan to a meal in addition to rice.
