At Lunch Now: Free Cone Wait Time
As reported yesterday, today is free cone day at Ben & Jerry’s. At the
8th Ave location, the wait time at 12:15 was 10 mins. Have you gotten
your free cone yet? Post the time of day, and how long you had to wait

I went to Rock center and at 12pm the line was around the corner inside there and not moving.

31 cent cone at Baskin Robbins tomorrow.

OH MY GOD. Very Long Line!!! . Don’t go it’s not worth it. j/k. just wanted to discourage anyone who is thinking of going and making my wait longer

Rock Center.
Time: 1:45-2ish
Wait: 15-20 minutes.The line was freakishly long but moved quickly. People kept asking us what the heck we were waiting for!

I was in line around 1:40 and it took about 20 minutes to get my free cone. But- as a general warning, don’t expect to meet anybody in the line- the Rock Center security guards are taking their jobs very seriously today, and kept my wife from meeting me in line. Good for them! Clearly today is their day to shine…
However, my bad mood from being forced to go to the back of the line to meet my wife, was instantly lifted when I entered Ben & Jerry’s to the rockin’ sounds of Foreigner’s “I Wanna Know What Love Is”

I just waited at Rock Center Concourse – 28 minutes at 2:30pm. Not bad I thought! Plus you get the free ice cream at the end. Sad that they didn’t have cheesecake brownie, but currently rocking a sugar high from cookies and cream. Photo at http://www.theironicmullet.com

my two coworkers just got back from the Rock Center line… they said it took about 15 min., security was afoot, and the line moved quickly. They said the B&J counter was wiped out of certain ice cream flavors, but one managed to get chocolate and the other settled on sorbet. the cones appear to be crispy delish.

Macy’s at 5:45pm. I just beat the rush, and actually donated to the cause. I was on line for under 5 minutes.
