Midtown Lunch Readers’ Poll: Best Latin Food

I’m out of town until January 7th, so until then I’m turning over the site to you for the First Annual Midtown Lunch Readers Poll, to determine the best that Midtown lunch’ing has to offer. You can only vote once, so choose wisely. Links to info about most of the nominees can be found on the “Restaurant Index” page. Feel free to write in votes in the comments section. Official winners will be posted to the site on January 9th.

  • Where’s latin Blimpie? I’ll take that over Sophie’s any day…

  • Margon, if for no other reason than their guanabana shakes

  • I feel like I need to organize a vote drive for El Rincon del Sabor… I bet anyone who has ever been there would totally vote for it.

  • Like OMG,totally.

  • Kate, I have been to El Rincon del Sabor, but my vote went to Margon. Margon’s food is really good and well seasoned. El Rincon’s was also good, and I will return on occasion, but it is not as “finished” with seasoning as Margon’s, IMO.

  • Hmm… I don’t go to Margon that often–when I was last there, it was really annoyingly crowded and the food I got was really dried out. But it might have just been a bad day.

All this discussion makes me want Latin food for lunch… I think I am heading to El Rincon del Sabor today!

  • Dried out is always a danger with those steam tables, granted. Try the steak, which is cooked to order. Tough, but the flavor is great. Yum!
