Seeing what the fuss is about at Vic Sushi Bar

I remembered  hearing about Vic Sushi Bar and how great it was when I moved to Philly. Somehow it has taken me this long to actually try it out. Vic’s is pretty tiny and mostly used for takeout, which is what 2 coworkers and I decided to do.

This is not normally the type of news that would be exciting to me, but someone wise informed this is a different type of Walgreens and dragged me over. And like usual, he was right. This is not just a place to by your Q-tips. It is a shop with 3 floors, a beautiful ceiling, chandeliers, a Redbox, a department store worthy makeup section, and food.

Breakfast and Lunch at Black N Brew Cafe

The mosaic covered walls and hanging flowers draw you in to Black N Brew, a 6 year old cafe on East Passyunk. There is a counter and tables to sit at so you can stay a while to get some work done, though the bustling atmosphere might make it hard for some to concentrate.   The various breakfast, lunch, and drink options are written all over the walls, so don’t forget to bring your glasses. We came across the cafe while biking; one of us was looking for lunch (obviously me) and one of us was hoping for breakfast (never me),  Black N Brew was able to provide both.
