Make A Pastrami Topped, Knish Stuffed Hot Dog at Hershel’s

Sometimes I am really proud of how gross I am. I noticed that Hershel’s in Reading Terminal offered a knish dog. I wasn’t exactly sure what that meant, was it a hot dog poked inside a knish? A hot dog wrapped in a knish? I had to know.

Then I saw the hunks of glistening meat on the cutting boards. I wanted it all.

Least Favorite Kind of Food: Blue cheese. Even just a whiff makes me gag.

Favorite Place(s) to Eat Lunch in Philly: Vietnamese grilled pork and vermicelli at Nam Phuong is a weekend staple. Recently I’ve been enjoying the who-knew-they-made-sandwiches at Capogiro. The BLT. Mmmm.

Platters are around $15 dollars each and come with 3 sides. Sandwiches are a few dollars less. For my first visit, I went all out, sticking with the platters.
