Street Sweets Truck Out of Commission: The truck that will soon be "formerly known as" Street Sweets is out of commission for the day. They'll be back tomorrow. Thankfully Wafels & Dinges (on 58th & 3rd) and the Treats Truck (on 38th & 5th) will be around to pick up the slack. [ML Twitter Tracker]

Golden Krust Expansion?: Despite closing two NYC locations last year, Golden Krust (the Carribean chain that still has a Midtown location on 8th Ave. btw. 39+40th, and a kiosk in Grand Central) is looking to expand according to Fork in the Road.  Speaking of which, lunch'er Paulie checks in to say that GK chicken patties are 99 cents for all of January. Nice.

Twitter For Free Cer Te Lunch; Good Day For Schnitzel?: The ML Twitter Tracker has some interesting tidbits this morning... Schnitzel & Things is on 52nd, Street Sweets is on 50th, Cravings is on 48th, Cer Te wants to give you free lunch, 15% off at Goodburger, Friday is a free topping day at Go Go Curry, and Wafels & Dinges is making a rare FiDi stop today.

88 Cent Pop Burger Reminder: Just a friendly reminder... it's the 8th, so you can get 2 Pop Burgers for 88 Cents through 8coupons.  You have to get the coupon texted to you, and it's only good from 2-6:30pm.

2nd Kushi-Q Location Now Open: Just got word from Lunch'er "Joe" that the new location of Kushi-Q, in the CitiGroup Center basement food court (on 53rd btw. Lex+3rd), is now open.  The first location of this fast food yakitori spot is pretty close (3rd btw. 45+46th), so it will be interesting to see what happens.  Early adopters, let us know how it is in the comments.

VendrTV Loves Wafels & Dinges: Speaking of Wafels & Dinges, they're the profiled street vendor in this week's episode of VendrTV. The best part of the episode (besides watching the adorable Dan Delaney scarf down two waffles) is owner Thomas telling the story of some old lady bringing her own butter to put on a waffle. In related news, the Schnipper's Brothers were spotted doing a chest bump on 8th Ave.  Do you work at the Times?  Where are you headed for lunch today?

Larger Sandwiches at Barros Luco: Barros Luco, the great Chilean sandwich spot on 52nd just east of 2nd Ave, announced today via Twitter that they have made their sandwiches larger, and have lowered their prices.  Sounds like a win win to me! Will have to check that out...
