Lessons in Shilling: If you are going to hop in a forum, and shill for your generic Midtown deli you probably shouldn't use "good food" as a tag. Or the address. Or the phone number. This short class was free, Cafe Bonjour, but the next one will cost you.

Duane Reade Sushi Challenge: Did you see that the Village Voice took the Duane Reade Sushi challenge last week!?! We're completely honored that FitR gets their lunch tips from the ML forums, but I was kind of disappointed she went the cooked route. (California rolls are never *that* scary.) Clearly I need to take this challenge, and do it up right.... report coming soon.

Snow Day Street Meat Updates: If you've been trying to hit the new biriyani at the Steak Truck as much as I have then today will be a sad start to your work week. They'll be in their usual spot, but will not have biriyani today. In other Twitter Tracker news Rickshaw will be on 52nd, Wafels is on 62nd, and Street Sweets is on 50th... but Papa Perrone is staying in Staten Island today.

Pre Valentine’s Day Sausage: After a few days of rest, the ML Twitter Tracker is on fire this morning... Rickshaw & Treats Truck are on 45th, Street Sweets is on 50th, Wafels is testing out a new spot on 8th btw. 56+57th, Cer Te has lobster rolls today, and Papa Perrone is on 55th serving up a pre-VDay sausage with peppers and onions.

This is Why Midtown is Better Than Nolita: The Shake Shack had a bit of trouble at their community board meeting in Nolita on Tuesday night. Seems like the neighborhood doesn't like burgers. Not so in Midtown! The Shack breezed through its board meeting last night, getting liquor license approval for their new location opening on 8th Ave. and 44th St. slated to open in July.

Free Burrito Alert?: They rescinded their online coupon, but according to The Wandering Eater Oaxaca Grill (on 47th btw Park+Lex) is handing out free burrito coupons in Grand Central right now. UPDATE: They also will be handing out free burrito coupons during lunch time on Lexington.
