Wafels and Dinges are on 56th, Jiannetto's has vodka pizza for lent, Rickshaw is on 45th, Street Sweets is on 50th with buy one get one free mini-macarellas, Cer Te has Chubby Chinese Girls, Papa Perrone is on 55th, and Barros Luco reminds everybody about their fundraiser to benefit Chile tomorrow night.

Hipster Businesses Hate Food Trucks Too: If you thought street vendor issues were exclusively a Midtown thing (or that it was only Fox News that calls the cops on street trucks) guess again. The Brooklyn Paper says that Williamsburg brick and mortar shops are also starting to tire of all the street vendors. [via Eater]

Wondering About The Wings?: Curious about the chicken wings that NYC Cravings started serving again last week?  Phude NYC waited in the rain to try them, and seems to be a big fan (plus they look frickin' delicious.)  If you want to check them out for yourself, the Cravings Truck will be on 53rd btw. Park+Lex today.

Contributor Stalking: Wonder what our new ML contributors do when they're not eating in Midtown? (They're pretty easy to stalk!) Blondie and Brownie had dim sum at Golden Unicorn this past weekend, Ultraclay was at Cochon 555, Danny hit up Levain, Jason had some polish food, and it was Amy's Birthday yesterday!

Everybody Agrees, Midtown Pizza Sucks: I won't even pretend to be smart enough to understand anything about this New York Pizza report put together by statistics consultant and Columbia Grad student Jared Lander. But there is one thing that was pretty clear: average people think the pizza in Midtown sucks... and I'm pretty sure the experts agree.

Grom Coming to Midtown!?!: Gelato lovers prepare yourselves for the motherload... Eater is reporting that Grom (the amazing Italian gelato chain with locations on the UWS and the Village) will be opening a branch on Broadway just south of Columbus Circle.  A  Goodburger (coming soon to 58th & 8th) followed by some pistachio gelato = one awesome lunch.

Steak Truck Gone For Good?: Back in September the Steak Truck (on Park & 47th) threatened to leave Midtown and it appears as if they have made good on their promise. They had a few good days in the Bronx last week, but said they would update their twitter if they decided to return to their regular spot in Midtown.

Midtown vs. Los Angeles: Zach seems to be enjoying himself out in L.A. He's already found amazing Thai food, Korean/Chinese food, and (surprisingly) some ok pizza.   But at least we can take pleasure in knowing that the Jamaican Dutchy and the Jerk Pan wipe the floor with what passes for a Jamaican cart on the west coast.

Don’t Let the Weather Keep You From Schnitzel: The ML Twitter Tracker is full of hits and misses today... Street Sweets and Cupcake Stop truck are not going out today, but Schnitzel and Things will be trying a new spot near 57th Street near Broadway. (Clearly they're not going to stay in the week after being featured on Time Magazine's website!)

Will America’s Next Great Restaurant Come From You?: Wonder what kind of people showed up for NBC's "Next Great Restaurant" auditions in Rock Center on Friday?  Feast was there, and interviewed a bunch of people in line.  And one of them you might recognize as a fellow Midtown Lunch'er! (Sadly, his idea wasn't for a Thai food street cart.)
