Shut Up Midtown Lunch: If you read this site for its honest and often comical take on our obsession with cheap food, then you might enjoy the absurdity of Shut Up Foodies a new blog dedicated to making fun of foodie trends. My favorite so far? The expose on Tactical Bacon and Bourbon Foods for the true alcoholic (and it's only a matter of time before they get to pizzacones.)

We Rest Our Case: In N Out Burger coming to NYC? Yeah right.  And this is funny... how?  Urgh.  Not cool people.  Not cool. (Although even we have to admit that this one is actually funny.)

PSA: Today Is April Fool’s Day: As a courtesy, we just wanted to remind you that today is April Fool's Day (aka don't believe a word you hear today.)  But don't worry, we won't be posting anything stupid like "Midtown Lunch is going vegetarian" or "Ma Peche is opening today!" or "Chipotle is super tasty!"  Stunts like that are stupid.  And you should be wary of the radio stations/blogs/co-workers that can't help themselves.

Free Hot Blends Alert: We've gotten a bunch of reports that the Times Square Jamba Juice (on B'way btw. 47+48th) is giving away free 12oz samples of their new hot blends. According to the Times Square Alliance they'll be there until 3pm. Freeloaders (quickly) engage.

It’s Frites N Meats Day: Finally got some decent weather, and the ML Twitter Tracker reflects it... the Frites N Meats Truck is on 48th with a special burger, Cupcake Stop is on 50th, Street Sweets is on 52nd, and Schnitzel & Things is in the Flatiron after appearing on Sirius/XM this morning.  Papa Perrone is taking the day off.

4Food Opening Delayed Until June: Remember 4Food? The joint set to open on 40th and Madison selling doughnut shaped, sustainable burgers filled with lord knows what.  They were supposed to open this month, but according to their website it has been pushed back to June 1st. Mark it on your calendars early adopters... we thinks there will be a lot of curiosity around this one.

Pizza By Cer Te Delayed Another Two Weeks: They're dropping like flies over on the ML Twitter Tracker today. Jiannetto's, Street Sweets, Frites N Meats, and Cupcake Stop are taking the day off because of the weather. And to add insult to injury, Cer Te announced that Pizza Be Cer Te has been delayed another 2 weeks.

Rock Center ‘Bux is Back: The "subway" Starbucks at Rock Center has reopened after being closed for renovations (the new space is more open looking.) Earth shattering news? No. But if you are a Rock Center coffee addict, you'll be glad to not have to go to the "Rink" Starbucks which is already slow and usually overrun by tourists.

Tea Time?: I don't know about the Mighty Leaf tea (I'm a PG Tips man myself), but you can't argue with a free cookie sandwich! From now until April 4th 'wichcraft will be offering half price tea and a complimentary cream’wich from 3-6pm at all their locations.  Freeloaders engage.

L.A. Vendy Awards!?!: If Zach could have taken one thing with him to Los Angeles (besides a chicken and lamb over rice cart) it probably would have been this.  I think it's official... he's never moving back now.
