I made the same roast pig/roast pork mistake at Hing Won.
The pig is tasty and fatty and gooood!
The pork is TERRIBLE Chinese fast food. The roast pig is about the only edible thing there.

Is the roast pork too dry?
When roasted properly, it’s quite delicious.-
It was just gooey and greasy and not really meaty. Maybe they gave me the wrong thing….who knows. I didn’t like it though. I’ll stick with the pig and not the pork.

i had the siu yuk there for lunch yesterday. the portion was awesome for 6 bucks. but the skin was not crispy enough. for excellent crispy pig/pork (siu yuk) goto that little place on 46th btwn 5th and 6th, sits right next to the open garden near 6th. the skin there is CRUNCHY YUMMY!!
I like both Roast Pig (Siu Yuk) and Roast Pork (Char Siu) over white rice. Both are good meat choices.
Still haven’t been to Hing Won though. Kinda wish I coulda made it out to Zach’s goodbye lunch that day though. Oh well.
