Opa Debuting Lunch Menu with Free Lunch Next Monday

Opa, the new Greek restaurant in Center City, is starting to serve  lunch  next Monday (7/18) and is offering free lunches of their “toast”,  a traditional Greek pressed sandwich, to customers that day. It comes with Lancaster ham, manouri cheese, and honey mustard dressing, plus oregano fries on the side. Yum! I am always down for a fancy grilled cheese. I am also happy to report that practically all of the lunch menu is $10 or less. Burger fans be alerted, they are serving a feta stuffed hamburger.

Flavors of the Avenue Ticket Give Away

I recently had the privilege of attending a preview of the Flavors of the Avenue event, an East Passyunk Day of eating that is going down on April 30th.  The event features local restaurants offering samples of their food under a big tent with live music. General Admission Tickets are $30, but if you purchase before the 25th, they will take off $5. So for $25 you can eat from local restaurants and drink wine and beer from 1 to 5pm, can you think of a better way to spend your Saturday? (VIP tickets are $50 or $45 if purchased before the 25th and include a VIP happy hour from 12-1 and specialty cocktails and first tastes)

I tried so much delicious food, I can honestly say this is an event worth going to. You will not need dinner that night.

Look ahead for some pictures of what you can expect and a chance to win a free ticket!
