Kale Flecked Lobster Rolls from the Surf and Turf Truck

Like the Foolish Waffles truck, I stalked the Surf and Turf truck to finally find a location that worked for me. This truck has a small menu with a few novel takes on the lobster, plus steak or other seafood sandwiches, depending on the day.

It took 45 minutes to get my food from the time I got on line. Normally, I might be upset, but it happened to be a really nice day.

I ordered the Signature warm lobster roll ($12), served on a toasted, buttered roll and topped with chilled mango, diced jalapeno pepper, sauteed kale, and cabbage. It was a colorful presentation and I  liked all the butter and the addition of mango. I appreciated the thought of the kale, but it didn’t add anything for me. The lobster meat was not as succulent as some of the others in the city. Any lobster is still better than no lobster in my book.
