Boar’s Head Only at N.Y. Deli

N.Y. Deli opened in March next to one of my favorite pizza places- NYPD Pizza. I was thinking/hoping that N.Y. Deli might follow the same style as the pizza place, and serve super awesome NY deli style sandwiches, home made pastrami, etc. (Not that we don’t have great local spots for that) Instead, N.Y. Deli has a different formula- Boar’s Head sandwiches only.

For real, the entire deli case is Boar’s head meat and cheese. Drinks and chips are the only non-Boar’s head options.

So I just ordered some of my favorite Boar’s head selections- Buffalo Chicken and Pastrami Turkey. A hoagie costs $6, a sandwich costs $5, pictured here is the sandwich. While it is smaller than a $5 foot long from subway, at least here you know the ingredients are better. I got lettuce, tomato, and russian dressing on mine. N.Y. Deli will serve your needs if you are looking for a quick reasonably priced, reasonably healthy sandwich for lunch.

THE + (What somebody who likes this place would say)

  • I love Boar’s Head
  • I want someone else to quickly made a sandwich for me

THE – (What somebody who doesn’t like this place would say)

  • I want something other than Boar’s Head
