Happy 5th Birthday to Us: The Los Angeles section of Midtown Lunch is only a year and half old, but the site itself tuned 5 years young last week and to celebrate we threw a party in NYC on Saturday. All the food was amazing, and I will now spend the next 5 years trying to get each of the participating vendors to open branches in L.A.! (Starting with Kelvin Slush, Tri Tip Grill, and, of course, Momofuku.)

30% off Lunch (or Dinner) at Tinga: Great news from Blackboard Eats!  Not only are their deals free again, but their latest is a good one.  Get 30% off lunch or dinner at Tinga, the great fast casual Mexican place on La Brea.

If You’re Going to be in NYC on June 11th: We're having a big party to celebrate Midtown Lunch's 5th Anniversary!

Food & Wine Mag Recipe-fies My Favorite Lunches: Thanks to Food & Wine Magazine for including us in their May issue! They created recipes in their test kitchen for three of my favorite "Midtown Lunches", including the Lomo Saltado from El Dorado.  It might not be the best version in Los Angeles, but it is definitely the best for $7.  Check it out if you haven't yet, or... I guess use the recipe and make it at home?!

Half off Pal Cabron: I hate rewarding procrastination, but if you haven't checked out Pal Cabron's new Koreatown location a) what the hell are you waiting for? And b) here's a coupon to make the decision easier. Get $15 worth of food from Pal Cabron for just $7 from L.A. Weekly's new deal site.

Buy One Get One Free Chipotle Burrito: Now that I've completely changed my stance on Chipotle, I guess I can pass this deal along: if you're willing to sit through a preview of a new TV show from NBC, you're rewarded at the end with a coupon for a buy one get one burrito/bowl/salad from Chipotle. (Bonus Tip: you don't actually have to like the show on Facebook.  Just watch the video.)

The Best Place to Eat Lunch in L.A. is…: in the bleachers of Dodgers Stadium on days when there isn't a game. Who knew?
