Freeze For Dumplings And Falafel: We have a strong crop of trucks visiting downtown today according to the ML Twitter Tracker... NYC Cravings is on Water St. for the last time before its rebranding, and Rickshaw and Taim Mobile are both on Hudson in Soho.

At Lunch Now: Van Vs. Street Cart On Canal!

Sounds like there was a little excitement at Canal & E. Broadway a little while ago, per Umamimart’s Twitter and their photo above:

Van just knocked over a street vendor’s cart! Corner of Canal/ East Bway in Chinatown. DRAMA!

But wait, there’s more!

Totally crazy! Thank god no one was inside. The van i think accidentally brushed it, knocked it over and just took off!…Of course everyone rallied to help get the cart back up tho. Love NYC!

That is crazy! I have no idea what cart it was, but hopefully no vendor or food (or, I guess, driver) was damaged in all of this. Anybody know what carts are usually at that corner?

Does Your Work Block Twitter?: Did you know that we also have a Downtown Twitter Tracker... today Street Sweets is in front of Federal Hall shooting something for CNBC, Frites N Meats is on Water & Broad due to FOX News taking their Midtown spot, Cupcake Stop is at Broadway & Spring, and Cravings Truck is at the just-out-of-bounds Hudson btw. King & W. Houston.
