Free Ice Pops From Sweetery Tomorrow: The free icy treats keep coming our way this week, but this time it's not ice cream sandwiches. Sweetery truck is doing a promo with Clinique, and what we get out of it is free popsicles in the area of Broadway & Prince St. Thursday morning from 10 a.m. to noon. I think you also get some sort of freebie from Clinique, but we're all about the food here.

Coolhaus’ Rain Date For Free Ice Cream Sandwiches Is Today!: There was a fair amount of excitement followed by a big let down last week when the Coolhaus truck planned to give away free ice cream sandwiches through a promo with the W Hotels, but ended up canceling due to the rain that would not stop. They're using today as a make up, and you can get the freebies from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. in the area of Broadway and Wall St. at Maiden Lane & Water St. They're going to tweet the exact location, and we'll try to post it here, so leave room at lunch for a late day treat.

Free Coolhaus In The FiDi Today (Update: Or Not)

I don’t know about you, but a free ice cream sandwich sounds pretty good right now, and for once the freebies are flowing our way. A Coolhaus truck will be in the area of Wall & Broadway this afternoon with a giveaway promotion with the W Downtown hotel. They’ll tweet the exact location on @coolhausny or you can watch the ML Downtown Twitter Tracker to see where you can get your free afternoon snack. Update: It looks like the ice cream is flowing from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at Wall & Broadway, so you can eat ice cream for dinner. Annnd, the weather’s screwed us over today. The giveaway has been canceled, although there could be a “rain check date.”

Hudson Squarers, You Can Get Free Cookies RIGHT NOW!: The Sweetery truck has been giving out free food all week, but mostly in Midtown. They're at Hudson & King right this minute giving out free horse-themed cookies for some tie in to the Belmont Stakes. Even if you're not a fan of horse racing...free cookies! I would guess they'll only be there until noonish before going off to their next destination, so be hasty.

Get Free Coffee From Carts On Friday: There's a free coffee giveaway at independent carts on Friday sponsored by Zipcar, and it miraculously includes five within the Downtown Lunch boundaries. The carts will be identified by green balloons and are at Church & Barclay and Chambers & W. Broadway in Tribeca, and Broadway btw. Spring & Broome, Broadway & Prince and Broadway & Houston in Soho. Each cart will have 200 free coffees to give away starting at 8 a.m., and you also get some sort of credit for Zipcar.

Free Cupcakes At Sweetery This Morning: If you work near Hudson & King and need breakfast (or second breakfast), then get yourself over to the Sweetery truck between 8:30 and 10:30 a.m. They've partnered with the Food Network Magazine and they'll be heading to Midtown after mid-morning, so act fast!

It’s Macaron Day, And That Means Freebies

Sorry for the late notice on this one, but it’s Macaron Day and you can get free macarons from a bunch of different bakeries downtown. Francois Payard has organized this delightful event, and to exercise your freeloading you need to tell the people at the participating shop that you’re there for Macaron Day NYC. You’re limited to one per person at each location, and some of the bakeries are also donating a portion of the day’s macaron sales to City Harvest if you need a sugar rush. The bakeries in on this deal in the Downtown Lunch coverage area are:
