Get a punch card good for 6 scoops of Ciao Bella gelato for just $10 from Scoop St. (It’s also good at the location in Midtown, and on the UES.) Picnick Smoked Resurfaced On State Street?: The Picnick Smoked BBQ truck that had been on Wall & South streets, but then mysteriously disappeared is now at 1 State St., according to the Picnick Web site. The site says they are there Thursday through Saturday. Has anyone who works down there spotted it?

Hello Pasta Given Tentative Stamp Of Approval In Midtown: A branch of Hello Pasta, the Chipotle-like pasta chain set to take over the world, is set to open next month on Maiden Lane. One of the Midtown locations on Lexington btw. 54 & 55th opened yesterday and there's a first look over on the Midtown side of the site. They gave it a tentative thumbs up for the sauce and price-to-quantity ratio ($7.95 for a Chinese takeout-sized container). It was their first day of business, and the reviewer was its third customer, so the overall quality remains to be seen.

Free Popsicle Alert: Downtown lunch'ers can get a free popsicle today from 3:30 to 5:00 p.m. on Vesey St. btw. Broadway and Church as part of the Cooking's Channel's promotion with People's Pops. According to Twitter they'll also be in Midtown on East 47th btw. 2nd and 3rd from noon to 1:30. Take that 100 degree temperatures!
