Aroy Dee Thai Gets Early Downtown Luncher Endorsement

Earlier this week, temporary signage was strung up over the old It’s A Pizza’s sign on John St. announcing the arrival of Aroy Dee Thai Kitchen. It ended up opening on Tuesday, and lunch’er Eric wrote in to give his impressions of what he ate. Express lunch thoughts, straight ahead!

Per Eric:

Aroy Dee apparently opened yesterday a few doors down from Go Go Curry.  I tried it out today (had the express lunch Pad See Ew – 8 bucks), and I really liked it.  I was actually on my way to Go Go when I saw it, and they were giving out little tiny samples outside.  I was sold on the green curry sample, so I gave it a shot.

Like Cafe Sage a few blocks down John St., Aroy Dee has an express lunch option for $8 which gets you curry, pad thai, fried rice or a few other options. You can also get noodle dishes for $9 or some over rice options for $10 depending on what protein you choose.

They actually have some interesting things on the menu like khao soi, pumpkin chicken curry or Thai BBQ chicken, but unfortunately they’re over the $10 mark.

If you’re not in the mood for Go Go Curry a couple of doors down, give Aroy Dee a shot, and let us know what you think in the comments!
