Half Off At Carl’s Steaks: There's an InBundles deal for $12 worth of food for $6 at Carl's Steaks on Chambers St. (btw. Broadway & Church), just in case you wanted to start your week off with lots of meat and cheese.

Fresh Salt Is Not A Lunch Destination For Cheapskates

If the thought of paying $10 for a sandwich and some chips pains you, then avert your eyes because Fresh Salt is not for you. The restaurant is on Beekman (btw. Front & South), part of a cluster of eateries at the South St. Seaport. While I was under the impression that it was a grab and go-type lunch place, it’s more of a sit down affair unless you want to get your food to go.  Several of you profiled lunch’ers have recommended this place but it’s just far enough off the beaten path that I tend to forget about it. The good news is the food is good – but you’re probably going to pay more than you’d like for the privelege of dining among cobblestones. Read more »

Smoked Mozz & Pepperoni At Eddie’s: We have a double dose of Vendy Awards Rookie finalist Eddie's Pizza today with its truck on Hudson and the cart at Greenwich. Also on the ML Downtown Twitter Tracker, Tribeca Taco is out at Broadway & Spring, Korilla is on Front, Frites N Meats is on Water, and Sweetery is at Hudson until 2 p.m.

Cheap Guac And Chips At Toloache Today

It’s Friday and that means it’s OK to stuff your face with Mexican food, right? In honor of National Guacamole Day, Toloache Taqueria on Maiden Lane (btw. William & Gold) is selling guacamole and chips for $2 (although they don’t specify if this is a large or small size). If they still have the $6 burrito Fridays going, this could make for a cheap lunch deal.

Reminder: Tell Us Why You Should Get An All-Clad Truck VIP Spot: As you may have seen earlier in the week, we are letting you lunch'ers in on the chance to be one of four VIPs at the Soho stop of the All-Clad food truck next week. You have until Monday to tell us in the comments of the original post why you deserve to skip what's sure to be an annoying line.

Pico De Gap Truck Still Going Strong: Apparently the Gap truck giving out cheap tacos wasn't a one-week thing because they're on Varick today, according to the ML Downtown Twitter Tracker. Sweetery and Kimchi Taco are on Hudson, Rickshaw Dumplings is in its "usual spot" in the FiDi as well as on Hudson, La Cense is on Wall, and Frying Dutchmen is on Varick. Souvlaki GR is on Old Slip.
