At Lunch Now: Chinese New Year Edition
Gotta have Chinese food on Chinese New Year, right? My goto is Hing Won on 48th btw. 5th & 6th. They have “Buhda” Delight as a New Year’s special, but I think I’m going to go with the shanghai rice cake with pork. (Aren’t you proud of me for not ordering the sauteed udon? Mixing it up is my Chinese New Years resolution). Although I might get some general tso’s chicken to go, find a steak and cheese sub, and make one of these.

it’s also new year in Korea (and others) — and Korea Palace was packed.
did any of you see the video on the Wall Street Journal site of the reporter eating fried rat. It seems that in Vietnam, rat is the new chicken (thanks to avian flu and other maladies that have killed off rat predators, reduced availability of other meats and increased #s of rats).

Stan, thats because they ate all the cats.
Soon the dominant predator in SE asia will be Oliver Stone.

I have leftover General Tso’s from Ming’s Delight on 3rd waiting for me at home. I may weep while I eat it.

Went there for the first time today. Got the barbecue pork and noodles. Man, it was good!
That General Tso’s cheesesteak is an abomination, a crime against God & man. Why my mouth is watering, I can not explain, but it had better stop.
