Shop At Target During Your Lunch Break?

This has nothing to do with food, but everything to do with being a cheap bastard.  I love Target, so I was pretty excited to see that one of the four temporary “Bullseye Bodegas” they’re opening in NYC is in Midtown. I know it’s lame but there is something about living and working in Manhattan (and not owning a car) that makes me crave crap like strip malls and Target.  The pop up store is taking over the space that used to be inhabited by the Delta Pop Up Cafe on 57th & 6th Ave. The store will be open 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday through Monday. If you’re into using your lunch break to do a little shopping, you can get more info here, here, and here.

Photos of the inside are after the jump…

  • I can see Kristen Davies in there,oh yes.

Maybe Liv though, she’s a single mum now…got too stretch those pennies.

  • FYI, Target still refuses to implement a policy ensuring that all prescriptions (for example, those for emergency contraception) will be filled in-store, without discrimination or delay. Something to think about before spending your dollars at their stores.

  • Target also has $4 generic prescriptions (as does Wal-Mart). I can name 6 pharmacies in Greenpoint that won’t fill a Plan B prescription either.

If a pharmacy is the only game in town, or the only one open late, I can see boycotting. But I am not sure why this issue is the one to take Target to task on.

  • Well Anon,
You’re obviously not in Kate’s position.
You never know when your going to have unprotected sex in midtown and need the B-pill quick!

Kate, I feel for you, I really do.

  • Why are they calling it a bodega? Will boar’s head meats be sold there?

  • That’s not the point — supporting Target means supporting a corporation that has a NATIONWIDE “refuse-and-refer” policy. Not everyone in this country has the luxury of walking down the block to a different pharmacy.

  • (Sorry, to clarify: a corporation that allows their pharmacists, nationwide, to “refuse-and-refer.”)

  • Apparently there are three more locations all called bodegas because bodegas represent ease and cheapness or some such nonsense.
Seeing as I’m in a job hunt, I’m not going to discuss these other matters other than saying vodka lemonade, no, no, yes, yes, no, no.

  • What kinda job are you looking for chica? I can tell you where not too work! hee hee
Do you have my real email?

  • Aren’t those photos from Southland Tales??
