New York Times Bryant Park Food Recs

Bryant Park gets called a great place for a picnic in the Sunday New York Times Travel section, and 3 Midtown Lunches get recommended in the piece: Szechuan Gourmet (39th btw. 5+6th), Yagura (41st btw. Mad+5th), and Kati Roll (39th btw. 5+6th). God knows why, but Simply Pasta also gets recommended- over Le Pain Quotidien, Fashion Soup, ‘wichcraft, and the Trini Paki Boys Cart.

  • I almost fell out off my stool at the coffee shop this weekend when I saw Simply Pasta in the article. We used to have to go there at my old job everytime someone quit for their “good-bye” lunch. Maybe if it was the “birthday” spot I’d have better memories. It was always packed though, I’ll give it that!
