Midtown Lunch

Oh my lord it’s freakin hot… so what better way to spend your lunch time then sitting in line for a free coffee (hope the line is long enough that you have to wait outside).  Thanks to TribecaGirl and Gothamist for letting us know about this fabulous way to waste our lunch hour. 

“Free iced coffee and iced cafe con leche at participating locations from 1-3 pm today. The standard rules apply: “Valid for one drink per customer. While supplies last.”

Whatever that means… they never seem to run out when you’re paying $5 for your fancy coffee.

I’ve already confirmed that the Starbucks on 51st. & 6th Ave. in the building on 51st btw. 51st & 52nd. (1290 6th Ave.) is participating.  But the place to be is definetely Rockefeller Center.  The one in the concourse (next to the Rink Bar- not close to the subway) was only a 2-5 minute wait.  For a list of Midtown area Starbucks locations click here.
