Totally Cheesing at Abner’s

Every once in a while I have a meal without thinking about writing about it. Such was the case when I ordered a cheesy snack at Abner’s after catching a film at the International House. I didn’t think I would find anything even a little special there. Thank goodness I snapped a “just in case” picture.

Tasty Place still Tasty

All the way back in my first month of Midtown Lunching in Philly, I was in all my newbie glory when I stumbled upon Tasty Place, the Chinese restaurant located in a basement next to an Asian grocery store. EfFISHient Food Court Seafood Platters from Under the C at the Comcast Center

Since I judge how awesome or crappy a job is based on the food options within its vicinity,  the Comcast Center is not a bad place to work. I dropped by the food court in the basement of the Comcast Center for my first time ever and decided to take a risk and order food court seafood, because yolo or I was just in the mood for seafood. Under the C seafood sells raw fish and crustaceans, a good sign that their prepared meals might actually be fresh.

Classy to Go from Fork: etc

A few years ago  I enjoyed a “classy” lunch with my mom and sister at Fork. The soft-shell grab and beef stroganoff were amazing. Last week, Profiled Luncher Kylie recommended the quick and cheaper lunches at Fork: etc. This is Fork’s take-out spot  next door and features a counter to order upscale soups, sandwiches, and fresh bread. It isn’t all grab and go; there are communal tables to sit at and a big window letting in sunlight.
