PROFILE: Philly Luncher “Moira”

As is customary at Philly Lunch, every Tuesday we turn over the site to a different lunch’er for his or her recommendations for the best lunch in Philadelphia. This week it’s Moira, a cheese loving, oyster shucking lady working in the restaurant industry.

Name: Moira

Age: 24

Occupation: Restaurant Manager

Where in Philly do you Work?: Passyunk Ave.

Favorite Kind of Food: Anything smothered in cheese.

Least Favorite Kind of Food: Thanksgiving fare: turkey, cranberry sauce, stuffing, etc.

Favorite Place(s) to Eat Lunch in Philly: Erawan has the best lunch special in the city, and I’m a sucker for their panang curry. Garces Trading Co. always has some sort of delicious sandwich and too-good-to-be-healthy desserts. Bitar’s has great falafel and it’s usually pretty quiet. And if I can eat myself into a food coma without needing to go to work after, I’ll head to Good Dog or Royal Tavern for a burger and a beer.
