Until now you could find the weekly schedule of what trucks would be at the World Financial Center food truck lot at N. End Ave. & Vesey online, but you had to search for it and there was no such thing for the Lent Space lot at 6th Ave. btw. Grand & Canal in Hudson Square. The NYC Food Truck Association announced on Twitter yesterday that you can now find the schedules for all of its food truck lots on its site, including the two in Lower Manhattan. Of course the schedules are always subject to change as trucks occasionally run into mechanical issues or other problems, but it’s a good tool to find out when you can get your next fix of Italian ice or fancy falafel.
Get Free Yogurt This Morning: Most of you probably don't get excited about yogurt, but what about if it's free? That makes everything taste better, right? Yoplait is launching some sort of low-cal Greek yogurt and is giving it out for free around the city, including in Soho this morning from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. The location is being announced via Twitter.

Those of you who work near City Hall may already be familiar with Blue Spoon Coffee Co. which has had a location on Chambers St. (btw. Broadway & Church) for a few years serving good coffee and sandwiches, salad and soup come lunch time. The second location opened on William St. (at Platt) two weeks ago, and just started serving lunch with the same menu as the first shop. You might want to first go there for the fancy Intelligentsia coffee they’re brewing or for the various breakfast items like Balthazar pastries, bagels and oatmeal, but you also may be interested in the sandwiches which, instead of festering in a refrigerated case, are made to order.

Tip of the hat to ML contributor Brian who sent the above photo alerting us that there’s a cart called Swirl at Front & Pine selling frozen yogurt, and currently giving out free samples. Based on the cart’s signage it looks like their thing is to not just throw the toppings on the frozen yogurt like they do at Red Mango or all of those pink YoGo trucks you see everywhere, but instead it’s swirled into the actual yogurt from whatever you choose at the mix-in bar. Hopefully the prices are also a little more gentle than at the chain places.

The Snap Truck first hit the NYC lunch scene two weeks ago at the Lent Space lot selling hot dogs, burgers and fries with a couple of interesting items that we haven’t seen on any of the trucks that come downtown. I was most intrigued by what they were doing with their Chicago dog and whether it was close to what you’d actually get in the Windy City, and the avocado fries were also calling my name. They’ve been parking at the food truck lot on 6th Ave. between Grand & Canal every Wednesday so I took it upon myself to go there for a late lunch last week and although they were sold out of a lot of things, they were still flush with hot dogs and fried avocado.
