Totto Ramen to Expand!: Great news from Zagat this morning... Totto Ramen (on 52nd btw. 8+9th) is going to be opening a second location in the West 50s.  The bad news?  It'll be closer to 10th Ave. than Midtown.  The good news?  Maybe it will at least make the original location a bit less packed.

Flatiron News: Mark Your Calendars – Mad Sq Eats: I think the beautiful weather this week led me to thinking about how long we'd have to wait for the glorious semi-annual occasion that is Mad Sq Eats. Turns out it's scheduled for May 4 – June 1 and will include many returning favorites: Roberta’s Pizza, Asiadog, Momofuku Milk Bar, ilili, Sigmund Pretzelshop, Bar Suzette, Calexico, Nunu Chocolates, and Birch Coffee. Personally, I am hoping for Pies 'N Thighs' chicken biscuit (last seen in the Fall 2010.) Expect updates closer to launch day.

Free Sprinkles Alert: Just got word that Sprinkles Cupcakes (on Lexington btw. 60+61st) will be extending their closing time by one hour starting today (from 8pm to 9pm). A big fat who cares for us MLers, right? Until we found out that to celebrate they'll using that extra hour to give away free cupcakes tonight (and tomorrow night (3/15-16) from 8-9pm only. Limit one free cupcake per customer per day. Freeloaders stuck in the office late tonight, engage.
