On the corner of 52nd and 2nd the signage for a new Mexican place was finally revealed….it’s name is “MXco”, which is right up there with “Morroxican” in my playbook.

That’s a mini-chain of diner-like restaurants. There’s one near my apartment, which took over for VNYL (VYNL?) a few years ago, which took over for Googie’s before that.

I take it back…I just checked their prices for their UES location and they’re horrendous.

Never bothered to go in, don’t expect that to change, even/especially with the mass exodus of restaurants along Second Ave.

I tried it. Flavor wise it’s very good. It’s a little sloppy, but I like it. The only problem was that there was some literally unchewable piece of skin or meat in one of the tacos. That makes me have doubts about the preperation and gives the overall meal an F.
If this was anything other than Cer Te my eyebrow would raise so fast it’d achieve escape velocity at the fusion naming. Morroxican? Wow. When do we get Francambodian, Russiguayan, Norgyzstani, etc.?
