Elvis Aaron Presley’s legacy lives on in all things flavored with peanut butter, bacon, and bananas and now that legacy extends to waffles. Wafels & Dinges is now offering an Elvis special waffle ($7)–their bacon Brussels waffle topped with peanut butter and bananas (someone needs to tell them that if they truly want to do an Elvis, they should be topping their concoction with honey.) I can’t resist an Elvis in any form (Elvis cupcakes are among my specialties), so this was clearly a must try. And the good news is, even though it was listed as a “special”, the guy on the truck told me that you can get it pretty much anytime… just order the bacon waffle topped with PB and bananas. Side note, they make the bacon Brussels waffles to order, so don’t go near the end of their shift. I was the last person in line the other day, and by the time I got to the front they had already cut off the fresh waffle production so they could close up shop and move the truck. Hence- no Elvis waffle for me. FAIL. Thankfully the people in front of me let me photo their waffle!

Wafels and Dinges is parked today on 52nd btw. 3rd+Lex until 4pm, or you can wait until Thursday and get one on 46th btw. 5+6th.
