The Thursday Fried Chicken Lunch at Meme

2 weeks ago, the Yelp Community Manager Michelle reminded me of a deal that I had been meaning to try but had slipped my mind- the Thursday Fried Chicken lunch deal at Meme that has been going on since the Summer of ’09. So, as proposed, Michelle and I made our way to 22nd and Spruce to check it out together. Meme is a small restaurant normally serving rustic fare for dinner and being able to sample Chef Katz’s food for lunch is a good way to skirt the price tag of the $25 entrees.  Thursday is the only day of the week that Meme is open for lunch, and only the fried chicken and sides are available. For $11, I was willing to go over the ML price range for a classy sit down lunch.

Is There More than Just the Best Smoothie Ever Harmony Bakery?

Harmony Bakery is my #1 obsession of the moment for the fresh strawberry smoothie with yogurt bubbles in them. Since trying them in November I have been make countless times to get my bubble fix. Along with my regular order, I recently tried some more of the food on the menu and I was pleasantly surprised.

Just Opened: Rotisserie Chicken at the Bellevue Food Court

Last week J & D Rotisserie opened in the Bellevue Food Court. Besides the expected platters and to -go rotisserie chicken options,  buffalo wings, ribs, and a few sides make up the rest of the small menu. Sometimes plain, juicy rotisserie chicken is  exactly what I am in the mood for. And as there really aren’t that many places in town doing the rotisserie thing, I  think there is room for  J&D in the neighborhood.

For $6.99 I chose the platter that came with a half chicken breast and 2 sides.
