No Such Thing As Too Many Toppings At Snap Custom Pizza

Last month, Snap Custom  Pizza opened in Rittenhouse. My first thoughts were- I hate this name! It is basically the same name as another casual mini chain down the street! But then I learned that all pizzas and salads come with as many toppings as you want!!! Imagine the cheesy possibilities.

Choose your base and your toppings as you go down the line.

The pizzas ($8) get thrown in the oven and then you have a second chance to add even more toppings. Here’s what I went with: artichokes, mushrooms, pepperoni, sausage, caramelized onions, mozz, goat cheese, basil, and toffee sunflower seeds with the tomato sauce and herb cream sauce. All ingredients were fresh and the meats  tasted better than they looked behind the counter. The standard crust was fine, more of a placeholder than something to admire on its own, HOWEVER, the gluten free crust, a really tough thing to nail, was totally not gross at all! Exciting news for gluten free folks.

Salads are also a worthwhile order here. Whereas most salads end up racking up the $ as you add more tasty things to make it a legit meal, Snap lets you pack on the toppings for $9, no surprises at the register. Salads here end up being really filling and satisfying.

Other nice features at Snap: fancy sodas, wine glasses for BYO, plus free wine on Wednesdays.  With two other locations already in the suburbs, Snap Pizza has plans to expand around Philadelphia and I couldn’t be more supportive.

THE + (What somebody who likes this place would say)

  • All the toppings for under $10
  • Fast, healthy
  • Great gluten free pizza crust

THE – (What somebody who doesn’t like this place would say)

  • Regular crust is just ok
