Midtown Lunch

Parkside Beef and Ale is a bar right by LOVE Park that you may never have noticed. I noticed it because of the sign announcing its $5.55 rotating lunch specials every week day. On Wednesdays the special is…

…hand carved roast beef, turkey, or pork. I chose the pork. It came with some rather decent fries and horseradish sauce.  I was surprised to find that the slices of pork were herby and juicy, I was not surprised to find all the fatty parts that needed to be picked off. For under $6, this wasn’t a bad deal.

The Tuesday/Thursday lunch special might be stopping in for as well: chicken wings with mac & cheese and greens. The place seems pretty empty at lunch time, so you might prefer taking your meal across the street to the park. Would you dine park side at Parkside Beef and Ale?
