Try the Fried Cutlets from the Flying Deutschman Food Truck
Standing in front of the giant food truck painted like a pirate ship and called the Flying Deutschman, you might not guess what exactly it is that the serve. But printed menus, just like a restaurant, show a German menu equipped with fried cutlets and wursts.
(I know the picture is terrible, I was having a camera issue)
I caught the Deutshmen at the City Hall courtyard where, besides menus, they had little tables and a tent. The chef running the truck seems a little scattered, but in an eccentric and adorable way.
I ordered the jaeger schnitzel and a side of potato salad ($3), which was fine, just nothing exciting. The schnitzel, though, was exciting and very fairly priced at $6.50. Its a big piece of pounded pork (no comments, come on) with a creamy mushroom sauce. It was modestly, yet appropriately seasoned and not greasy. The breading clung well to the meat. From the size of it, I anticipated saving some for later, but as it turns out, I couldn’t stop eating it.

If I were to comment, it would be as to how a schnitzel could be exciting, but that’s just me.
