Overstuffed Buffalo Chicken Wraps at Wrap Shack

I was never really sure what Wrap Shack’s deal was. They like to advertise Long Island iced tea pitchers and have a full bar. But they also have about a million different kinds of affordable wraps plus outdoor seating close to Rittenhouse Square.  It was time to shack it out.

Fries go pretty well with wraps. Also anything covered with cheese, ranch dressing, and bacon goes with everything. These loaded fries were very good.

It is really hard to resist a buffalo chicken wrap. They do theirs with breaded or grilled chicken, sautéed onions, and  blue cheese for $7.55.  Obviously breaded chicken, unless you are new. The biggest plus of this wrap is the amount of breaded chicken pieces, they really pack it in. It had a decent spicy flavor and enough blue cheese.  It would have benefited from something crunchy, like carrots and/or celery.

Most of the wraps are chicken based, but I also took home a New York Strip Steak Wrap ($9.75) to try. The slew of components drew me in: steak, peppers, mushrooms, onions, spinach, crumbled blue cheese, light teriyaki glaze. Especially after reheating, it was not pretty enough to bother including a picture. The flavors were a little muddy, and the steak was just ok so I would stick to the chicken here.

With so many wraps on the menu, has anyone else had any of them that stood out?

Went there once with my sisters and their kids. On that occasion, being kid-friendly (we had four with us), cheap-ish, AND having beer made it a no-brainer for us. Nothing stands out in my mind, food-wise (I can’t even remember what I had), but I think it’s got value just for being what I noted above…
