Curry House To Serve Only $6 Katsu Thru Thursday: I think prefer the curry at Hurry Curry of Tokyo and FuRaiBo, but for $6 how we can we pass this up!? Curry House will be selling their katsu curry (and only katsu curry) between now and Thursday (8/12) night for just $5.99 at their Downtown and West L.A. locations. I Want Some Dirty Chicken (Sandwiches): Eater reported yesterday that the boys have from Animal have set up an LLC called "Dirty Chicken" in advance of opening their 2nd spot. Apparently the new restaurant (or whatever it's going to be) won't actually be called Dirty Chicken, but I'm still holding out hope that they will serve those amazing Cart for a Cause fried chicken sandwiches from back in April.

Santa Monica Place Opening Tomorrow: Tomorrow is a huge day for Santa Monica lunchers... the long awaited Santa Monica Place redux finally gets unveiled. Grub Street has your first look at the place, which will have "six new chef-driven restaurant concepts, a gourmet food market, and multiple fast eating options" including a Pinches Tacos.

If You Like Pistachio Gelato: you should be pretty pumped for the news posted on Eater yesterday about Grom opening in Malibu. It's pricey (assuming it will cost the same as in NYC), but their pistachio gelato is hands down the best gelato I've ever had stateside. Plus, they give out free gelato on opening day! Get excited.
