Lenny’s Closes One FiDi Location Before Opening Another

It seemed the Financial District was being inundated with locations of Lenny’s, the mini-chain that serves at least one decent sandwich. Apparently they were looking to consolidate rather than have a store on every corner, because the John St. location has been shuttered and a new one opened on Pearl St. between Wall and Hanover Square. This joins another new location on Park Place between Broadway and Church.

Another Lenny’s Opens In FiDi; Tribeca Location Coming Soon

There are a couple of locations of sandwich shop Lenny’s that have been papered up and being prepared for opening for a while now. Well, word is that the location in the old Fresco on the Go space on Pearl St. (btw. Hanover Sq. and Wall) is opened, while the shop on Park Place (btw. Broadway & Church) will open in January. Now you can go get yourself a hot turkey sandwich without walking the extra blocks to the Lenny’s at Water & Broad.

Lenny’s Is Your Best Bet For A Thanksgiving Sandwich In The FiDi

There’s a Thanksgiving sandwich hiding on the menu year round at Lenny’s – that sandwich and salad chain that seems to be trying to keep pace with Potbelly Sandwich Shop‘s expansion in the Financial District and Tribeca. For now there are two locations in the FiDi, with three more planned in Battery Park City, and on Pearl St. and ┬áPark Place. I’ve never eaten at a Lenny’s but plenty of you seem to, and I was curious how their turkey sandwich would fare compared to others I’ve tried from places that aren’t chains. Surprisingly, it was pretty damn good.

Second Lenny’s Now Open On Water St.

In what seems like a new record for the shortest amount of time it takes a new lunch place to go from papered up windows to serving food, the Lenny’s sandwich shop on Water St. (btw. Coenties & Broad) was open for business yesterday when I walked by, and full of people. This joins the location on John St., and according to the Lenny’s Web site, there’s another shop coming to Battery Park City. Unless someone can tip me in the direction of an awesome sandwich to be had at Lenny’s, I’ll probably pass on eating there, but it’s clear they probably won’t be hurting for business.

Sandwich Chain Lenny’s Opening A Second FiDi Location

I can’t recall ever eating at Lenny’s, the sandwich chain that has a location on John St., but we’re about to get another one in the Financial District. A sign in a papered up window on Water St. between Coenties Slip & Broad alluded to the imminent opening. Is this better or worse than another Potbelly or Subway? Not sure on that one, but the sandwich-crazed among you should take note.
